Landslide- by the Dixie Chicks

I know Stevie Nicks sang this before, but I am more familiar with the Dixie Chicks version, and I think I prefer the nuances in the voices and the rhythm in it too.

I have heard this song many times, but I never really LiSTENED to it until the other night... when I heard an ordinary girl in Vancouver sing it at a coffee shop. Her voice was so sweet. She looked like a gentle, young girl... but her song was so powerful... her voice was. It wasn't loud... just heartfelt. And it made me love the song and decide to stick around in the coffee shop... just because I heard she was going to sing again.

Of course, at the end of the night, I did go up to her to thank her for making my night. She really did. And now I have a new song to add to my favorites. I love the lyrics. Simple, but profound in many ways.
